A click test on your own terms
Timed tests are great for comparing scores, but sometimes you need control over when the test ends. Maybe you’re testing a mouse, timing a game mechanic, or practising until you get tired. The manual click test gives you a stopwatch and a click counter in one:
- Start begins the timer. Clicks in the area count only while the timer runs.
- Stop pauses the timer. Clicks are ignored until you resume, so pausing doesn’t lower your CPS.
- Reset clears everything.
Ways to use it
Find your natural endurance
Click at a steady pace until you notice your speed dropping, then stop. The elapsed time shows how long you can keep your rhythm, which is useful for planning longer timed tests.
Count clicks for a task
Need to know how many clicks a game action or workflow takes? Start the timer, do the task in the click area, and stop.
Measure an auto clicker
If you’re setting up an auto clicker for a game that allows one, you can point it at the click area and check its real clicks per second. Our auto clicker guide explains the settings.
Compare with friends offline
Take turns: one person clicks, the other presses Stop at an agreed signal. It’s a simple, fair way to run your own challenges.
How CPS is calculated
Average CPS = total clicks ÷ active seconds. Paused time is excluded. All mouse buttons and touch taps count.
